Took this Phone out on a contract becauase it souned like a great phone but after 5 months the thing has just gave up. When charged and unplugged it keeps flashing a reminder to unplug charger and the battery indicator still goes up and down as if charging and now the thing has just given up. Back to my 3 year old and still working pefectly K800i.

Don't bother
Date: November 13, 2009
Although there are some cool features to this phone and it's pretty easy to use, the design, battery and touch screen are rubbish! There is a mute button when you make a call and it is right where my ear is so I am forever having people saying 'hello? hello? hello?' and then hanging up on me. When I call back everyone is annoyed, but not as much as me as it happens almost everytime!!!! The battery is short lived and the touch screen is erratic. I am desperate to get rid of it.

worst phone i could have picked !
Date: November 10, 2009
I absolutely hate this phone and am about to replace it. I am not a techno wizz and just want a phone for making calls and texts and occasionally a photo. This phone does all sorts of things and have gadgets and widgets none of which i want and which keep on popping up when i don't want them and to be honest are just a nuisance. The touch screen works erratically and if i am not careful i find the phone dials out to numbers because the phone lock isn't consistent and the whole phone is far too sensitive so it often does things you don't want it too. To be honest it's a bit of a nightmare and i can't wait to be rid of it !

great phone
Date: November 5, 2009
have today received my new samsung tocco ultra, and what a delight, surprised to read that people say touch pad keyboard too small, touch keyboard area is about 3 times the size of standard phone keypad, and its so easy to use, but would have to agree about battery life, ok for normal phone use, but very short life if using for music/internet/multimedia apps, apart from that, one of the best phones ive had
keep up the good work

BUY IT!
Date: November 4, 2009
Ive always been using Samsung phones and most importantly, the phones are indestructable, ive never had a broken samsung yet. The touchscreen and the keypad is usful to have. The display is fantastic; the AMOLED screen really gives a crispy image. The Battery life is suitable for normal users but i wouldnt recommend this phone to very heavy users (using internet much, videos, etc)
Overall, i am very pleased to own this phone, very stylish and slick and once again samsung impressed me!

Poor battery life
Date: November 4, 2009
I recently purchased this phone and I have been very dissatisfied with the battery life, it also take a while to get use to the setup and functions although the phone has great gadgets such as blue tooth and 8 megapixel camera, it;s clumsy to use, the touch screen is nice but really not necessary and at time I find it more of a hassle, perhaps if there was a way to turn it off it would be so bad. The main problem is the battery life,

i love this phone
Date: November 3, 2009
i have been using this phone for 3 months and it is great the touch screen takes a bit of getting used to but apart from that i have no problems.
i had heard the battery life was not very good so i brought a 2nd one and have rarley had to use it even when watching 2 films and playing on it all day.
i have had no problems with video playback or taking photos and i would say that the people who did have problems may have had faulty phones.

As the owner of a samsung j900 previously, i found that this was extremely easy to use as the menus are virtually the same as other samsung phones, just with added features specifically for the phone.
The touchscreen is pretty durable but responsive too, i found it much better than the HTC magic, for example.
The features of this phone are very good, the widget on the main menu is very good and the camera is very impressive, with 8mp, panoramic, macro, flash, smile and face detectors etc it's great for snaps out and about and produces sharp images. The video does also.
This phone is great for multimedia and internet browsing, as well as its incall and video calling features, i particualrly liked how easy it was to use.
The only drawback is if you are a very heavy multimedia user and constantly play music in the background, text a lot, call a lot, always take videos, the battery doesnt last for more than a few days, however the benefits outweigh the drawbacks!
thoroughly recommend!
:)

absolutely awful
Date: October 30, 2009
i was able to get an upgrade to this phone for free and so was very happy judging by the spec and the looks. but when i recieved it i realised what a rubbish mobile it was. I had an N95 8GB before, and have now gone back to using that, (i gave the tocco back), even though it is slow and two years old.
The tocco ultra had poor resolution, battery life, interent interface, (a big porblem for me), and not great sound quality. It has an 8 M.P. camera but doesn't produce good photos, and when i uploaded videos onto the phone it was impossible to distinguish one character from another, something i had never had a problem with on my old phone.
Overall i would stress to any one thinking about buying this phone to think again, it's not worth £20, let alone £20 a month.

Useless fone!
Date: October 29, 2009
The Smasung Tocco Ultra Light was not the phone i had wanted to get when i upgraded but it was the only one tht appeared half decent that i could get on an 18month contract and without having to pay for the phone. I wouldnt of upgraded but my previous phone had stopped working. I have found the phone difficult to use inparticular the touch screen as the buttons are so tiny. The battery life is terrible and is one of the worst ive ever had on a phone. Although the camera is 8megapixal, it is slow, you get what you want to take a picture of in focus, click the button and nuttin happens until about 10 seconds afterwards, by which time if you taking a pic of a person etc. they have moved and all u get is a blurred picture. The phone keeps freezing up, and takes forever to unfreeze. I have to say this is the worst phone i have ever had!

samsung tocco ultra
Date: October 27, 2009
i have had many phones over the years and have found the samsung mobiles,to be the most reliable and good quality, fewest faults and longest life span.the tocco ultra is much improved from the older tocco model, boasting an 8megapixel camera and the addition keypad as opposed to just the touchscreen,is a fantastic extra, although the touchscreen is quality.much prefer the samsung tocco ultra to my previous phone the sony ericsson c905,the keypad on the c905 appeared cheep and flimsy and the phone was prone to crashing.my upgrade on vodafone is due in december,at the minute i would find it difficult to part with this phone and havent seen anyother phone that have since come out, that has really caught my eye as yet, might wait till 2010!

i wouldnt recommend this phone...
Date: October 26, 2009
i have upgraded to this phone and had it for 3 days now... and im hoping to exchange it this week!!!!!
The phone looks lovely is easy to use and im really impressed HOWEVER... the battery life is awful! i charged it at 10pm and had it on standby until morning (never even touched it) and the phone ran out of battery at 7am! ridiculous! i had read that the battery life was poor but that was unbelievable.
I cant rely on a phone that cant hold a battery for 10 hours without use.
i wouldnt recommend this phone for ONLY that reason

dont do it
Date: October 22, 2009
before i got this phone i had a sony erricson and i so wish i could go back. the touch screen is a gimmick and is impossible to use unless you have pin size fingers. editing text is a total disaster as there are no cursor keys. battery life is abismal if you use any of the apps you will be charging the phone every day at least. this phone does nothing that a normal top end push button phone wont do. really if you want a phone as a gizmo get an i phone. if you want to actually have a usable practical phone for every day things then stay well away from this over complicated rubbish!

Tocco Ultra Review
Date: October 13, 2009
I recently upgraded my phone, going from Nokia back to a Samsung (previous to my Nokia i had always used Samsung handsets) The Tocco looks good and has a big display screen but i am pretty disppaointed in my choice (i upgraded in store which was a 5 hours drive and was told i was unable to return the phone if i was not happy with it within the 14 day period because of my in store upgrade, which you are able to do if upgraded online) if i had been able to i would have returned the phone and stuck with a Nokia! The battery life on this phone is the worst of any i have had before, it needs to be charged every second day, which i could understand if i was using apps such as the internet or music player but it is only ever used for basic calling and texting. the touch screen can also be highly annoying especially when texing, which i do ALOT of. trying to edit a message is very difficult as there are no arrow keys u 'simply' touch where you want to edit but basically its quicker deleting and starting again rather than try and fiddle about with the touch screen!! This handset has defo put me off all touch screen phones and, if honest, Samsung handsets as well. Overall very disappointed and counting down the months til i can get rid of it and get a new handset!! (15 months to go!)
