I love this phone!
I upgraded from a very basic phone and it took me a while to figure out everything, but now i cant imagine living without it. I can do EVERYTHING on it. At times i think it is actually better than my laptop.
When i first got it I was disheartened to find i couldnt use the bluetooth, but one super speedy app later and i can send and recieve anything i want!
I have had mine for a few months now and i have never had a problem with it at all, and i think that is down to a good antivirus app, which is a must with a phone like this.
The app shop is brilliant, you can have an app for anything ypou can think of and it doesnt have to cost you a penny!
This phone is brilliant, there is almost nothing it cant do, in the time i have had it the only think i would change is that i would give it a flash for the camera.

A review from a heavy business user
Date: November 15, 2009
I have been struggling with my windows based phones for some time after a duff upgrade 3 years ago. I waited a long time to go for the next upgrade because I didn't want to get trapped this time. I need a GOOD phone and GOOD connection to my MS Exchange server. I have to say I am over the moon about this phone, it is everything I have wanted in a PDA. It delivers in spades and is not slow, There are very few drawbacks, one being battery life but if you are organised this isn't necessarily an issue.
Connection to my personal google account - amazing. Connection to the exchange server via a quick third party download - Amazing! Dual calendars on 2 home screens, one personal, one for business - Amazing!!! This phone and Android has a big future ahead.

Great option to I-phone
Date: November 10, 2009
i recently got his phone on an upgrade not really seeing much else out worth having at the minute ad i couldnt be happier with my choice, all the apps are great..and free! you can get all games free, i even read alice in wonderland to my son from it, (he likes to turn the vrtual pages) it becomes part of your life with an answer to every problem with a quick download of a new app, its very easy to use and navigate round, the download speeds on it are super quick, there is a little touch to make everything you do easier, great internet speed and browser, only one downside is not flash with the camera so no night shots im afraid but i didnt buy it for the camera, as for earlier bluetooth problems issued earlier by other reviewers, there are many apps to correct this issue.
I LOVE MY MAGIC!

Excellent for the internet
Date: November 7, 2009
I'm so pleased that I got this phone, it's brilliant for the internet and that was the main reason for me getting it. I've downloaded most of the free apps and use my phone just like my home pc, being able to go on to facebook, twitter etc very easily and quickly. I really can't think of a better phone. The picture quality is fine but disappointed that it doesn't have a flash; however all the other features more than compensate for this. I can also read my home email quickly and easily. You must get it!

What no real Bluetooth!!!!
Date: November 4, 2009
I have had my HTC Magic for a week now and I now have found from the forums that the thing will pair but not connect to many Bluetooth devices, in fact any that I own or have tried. Headphones, hands free, computers, other phones. Also even if you could connect you can't send anything via bluetooth as sending files or pictures just is not available in the softe=ware!! Come on - even my daughter's 5 year old Nokia can do that!
Also I have noted that after a weeks use the phone really slows down and starts becoming unresponsive. This is accompanied by errors in apps that ask that they are terminated. So it looks like the apps written are not as well written as you might hope.
I wish my HTC Magic had Windows Mobile 6 or 6.5 on it!

bad idea
Date: November 3, 2009
i have had nothing but problems since the moment i have got this phone. from either losing signal half the way through a conversation making it look as if i was putting the phone down on people, to not being able to ring anyone or text anyone causing many problems.
i have also had problem with the phone freezing in which you have to take the battery out and turn it back on which takes quite a while to turn on anyway. i have had problem with the camera as it is not very good and does not have normal blue tooth
i have had a really bad experience but then again it may just be me.

great phone
Date: November 1, 2009
i have read the reviews of other people who have brought this phone saying it cannot bluetooth, but this phone can use all the bluetooth functions as any other phone you must download a bluetooth program for it off the android market for free. it is a bit difficult to work at first but it works perfectly even better than other bluetooths on other phones

Hi I used the HTC magic for several months and i have to say its the business. the latest upgrade software has improved its functionality. if you are looking for a phone which intergrates with google apps this one does it with out any effort. as a matter of comparision i bought a iphone 3 g for my wife and it is unreliable and is a pain to sync to her google account using ical

Fabulous phone
Date: October 26, 2009
Love it! I love all the applications, thousands of which are free, I haven't felt the need to buy one yet. Great calling and texting when you get used to the touch screen. Love the ability to upload pictures straight to facebook. Very, very easy to use. The only problem is no bluetooth file sharing, but I can live with that, so still give it 5 stars. Great.

THE DEFINITIVE I Phone Killer!
Date: October 23, 2009
I have used the Magic now for 3 months and to say I love it is an understatement. This phone becomes a bolt on to your life.
The battery life is poor, having to be recharged daily, but what do you expect from such a small device which is acting pretty much like a home computer to me?
There are literally hundreds (many free) apps available from the app store that can do ANYTHING! The updated version of the Android Operating system has just been released and already the APP store has caught up with the updated software, Its amazing!
The phone itself is light, comfortable to use and once you get used to it the texting function is fine. It only has a limited Bluetooth function which only allows you to link with Bloototh headsets etc which is a pain and the reason I dropped a star for features, but honestly I get really stressed when technology fails me and I can say this phone is a great development.
Why would you pay all that money for an IPhone, this whips it hands down!!!

awsome phone!
Date: October 21, 2009
I purchased this phone at the end of september 2009. And since then the phone has just stunned me and friends with its design, features and how it competes with the iphone. May i also add that the HTC did in fact beat the iphone in the T3 awards for phone of the year. Many other touchscreen phones have been released but this is by far the best.:D The apps on it are great, especialy barcode scanner.

The name says it all....
Date: October 19, 2009
Purchased the HTC Magic yesterday after spending some time reading reviews for various Google Android phones and watching a demonstration video of the Magic phone.
The automatic link to my Google Calendar, Mail and Contacts is 1st class and the real reason for my selection of this phone.
So far, very very good - still lots of feature to get to grips with....

I have had my HTC Magic since the 1st August and I am still really very pleased with it. It is a great little phone, has all my apps on it and I can use the data roaming to check up on news.
Android market has many things on the iphone for free (my husband has had to pay for things when i have not)
I love my Magic.

Good phone , great android apps. Some freezing , but noting to much to stress about. only problem no bluetooth file sharing and if you got fat fingers then texting and dialing can be a farce.

Brilliant phone
Date: October 15, 2009
The magic is a fab phone. I was impressed at how well it is put together and the android operating system is really slick. Really easy to use, and great syncronisation with my google accounts. Some of the GPS and 3G services eat the battery, but you can easily download widgets to turn these kind of features of making battery life last for days.
In summary, not quite an iphone, but for £25 a month it is superb value and a very good alternative.

I spent a long time investigating the Iphone and other similar products, until I spotted the HTC Magic from Vodaphone, with its fantastic android app system, it knocked the spots of anything else out there. You can’t go wrong with the free unlimited internet. and the phone for free.
Lovely feel about it and with my life pretty well Google based every thing has dropped into place. Well done Vodaphone and HTC.
