this is my second n97 in 3 weeks no wonder its out of stock with this many faulty ones going back,,,phone switches off, freezes when making calls, turns off when getting a txt,,, the list of faults are endless,,,,,the onlt good points i hav found are the qwerty keyboard is really useful it's very easy to use and the video camera is fab...but unfortunately i need a phone that works, now swapping for the sony satio, hopefully it will work better

IGNORE THE HATERS

This is my 5th S60 smartphone, and even though I don't think my old N95 8GB will be beaten this is an excellent phone. It is also my first touchscreen and does take some getting used to. I have no issues with any of the problems other reviewers claim to have. I have also de-branded it so I am now running V20 firmware and when vodafone get their finger out and update their firmware to V20 I might put theirs back on. from reading the other reviews this phone is like Marmite.....you either love it or you hate it......ME I LOVE IT

Do not get this phone .I have had two N97'S IN 8weeks.now changing it for sony.If you like to speak to vodafone a lot then get this phone.I know 3 people with this phone and they are all the same! DO NOT GET THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!!

Seriously - I hate it as the satnav on it is next to useless - The built in email is useless (get profimail instead) The camera doesnt work after a while (needs fixing) Taking and making calls is slow and sometimes hard to take a call by swiping the screen. other than that the amount of interesting applications and wide range of uses for the phone is incredible. If only i worked ! and i am still waiting for the V2 firmware up date. What's going on with that !

This phone has so many problems.......
[1] The screen keeps freezing.
[2] Very poor battery life.
[3] Keeps turning itself off.
[4] Wont always allow calls to be made.
[5] For a period of time it would not let me receive txt messages.
I have had three of these phones since the launch date and keep having the same recurring problems.
The main one being when trying to make a call it turns itself off!
The internet on this phone is good and so are the applications but its just not suitable for everyday use.
I have now changed my phone.
Very disappointing.

Do not get this phone. Jams, rubbish signal, turns it's self off, the predictive text is stupid, the list of faults are endless. I did upgrade the software and things improved 1%. I flogged it and got another N95

I bought this phone and the iphone, i have find that the N97 runs better than the iphone but the battery life on the iphone is much better as my N97 only lasts 2days which is not great..

for me it is a great phone although it hangs sometimes, but wad i really want to tell ppl out there about this phone is that n97 is really a phone that either you love it so much or u hate it :)

on contract the phone is very confusing 1 because it takes ages for it to send soem info by text and two because the first time i went on the phone i got no texts and went to send a text to my boyfriend and it came up with service name and number i was looking for information in manual and couldnt find it then had to master reset my phone and start over this time i got a text from vodafone and is now steadily trying to find out how to work the hone everything is confusing especially trying to find out how to chnage the ring tone cant find it anywhere the manual isint very useful and ive found most of it on my own the ovi is very confusing and takes time to download and still im considerign going to vodafone and ask them to sort my phone out im 15 years old and find it dificult to use this phone apart from the complications the phone is very stylish and touch screen is amazing thsi phone is so much better than the n7 mini there is no problems witht the keyboard at all.

this is just as good as the iphone if not better.
I love what you can do with it from pictures to streaming and emails every thing you need and lots of memory for music and video

fantastic phone. great apps and great camrea. evrything elese works fine. internet is excellent as well as the keyboard. best phone i have ever bought better than the iphone although it does take some time to get use to.

Get to 3pm with a full battery!

When i seen this phone i was rather excited as the design is very cool. But as soon as you start to use the phone you know otherwise. Charging all night, the phone goes dead with AVERAGE use by around 3pm... Contantly freezing. QWERTY is always a good thing. Although the applications are very poor - not a head of the iPhone... even though this is Nokia's Answer to the iPhone!
Camera is very good. Music is very good, great speakers added into the box. Touch screen is very easy to scratch!

This is the worst phone I have ever used- it often stalls or freezes, the battery life is far less than advertised, it can't be charged of different (although same sized) mini usb chargers, and mine's broken after 4 days- as it won't turn on.
The navigator is good though.

Awful, awful, awful - why would Nokia launch such an unstable phone?

Phone is really well designed, not suffered from any faults like other reviews. Camera is great however flash is poor. Apps work well, (facebook is better on iphone though), Think the v2 software will make a difference, kinetic scrolling is sorely missed at moment as can be the speed of navigation when going through the phones files and apps. My battery life is fantastic, couple of days until i need to charge and thats with email constantly active. Iplayer is great, makes my iphone buddies green!
Only gave 3 stars for performane based on current v1.2 software.

horendous to work, cuts out, jams, touch one application a different one opens, battery doesnt last allday, goes dead by 4pm, after full charge only last 7 hours, too tricky to use for calls, voicemails etc, keypad lock doesnt release on incoming call then you slide the lock nothiing happens, then slide again and it cuts the call off.
going to get it changed as no use for work use when its required 24/7 in use
