i had this phone the first day it came out and was really pleased with it at first , but as time went on i played with it more as you do , this phone operates great if you keep all the apps and memory to the bare minimum , if you dont it has a mind of its own ,iv spent countless hours on forums to resolve constant issues, if you get to that point save your stuff and do a hard reset (hold shift , space and delete and then turn on keeping them held) ,i would love the latest firmware too but vodafone still hasnt approved it as im hoping that will sort out some of the bugs ,overall great phone when it wants to work , but play with it too much and it bites you which really is kind of defeating the object of having a multitasking smart phone.

This phone is the best design i have ever seen for a phone, it's sleek, stylish and certainly causes a lot of attention from individuals who have never seen it. As in my rating The design, features and ease of use is excellent, beyond excellent i love it however it's performance is not reliable, it's a really difficult to be constantly worried about if the phone is going to work. I have had three of these now the first two were absolutely awful but my third one has been amazing all of it's features work and it's an amazing phone... i know people who have never had a single problem with there phone. But i would fully reccomend to anyone even with the problems i have faced.

I dont understand why people are complaining over this phone.....people are just mad about blackberry and iphone ....they are just following the silly trend of buying it...i think n97 mini is the best phone ever its like more than 3 months i been using it ...and its performance is excellent...its like a little robot for me who entertain and guide me and almost everthing for daily life needed...i recommend this phone to everyone...make your choice ..no to need to go for iphone and blackberry like other fools..

THE WORST NOKIA I EVER HAD

In a month I have been to the Vodafone store THREE time... I had three new Nokia 97 Mini...
They DO NOT WORK...
Great Features, Great Design but it CRASH two/ three times a day.
I never know if, after a call, I have to remove the battery to restart it.
Is this what I need from a mobile phone? NO!!!
If I do not receive from Vodafone or from Nokia a solution, I do not see any alternative to replace it with a different model..
Shame for a Nokia lover!!

I had 3 exchanges of this phone, and 1 after the other they encounted software problems, kept crashing, and was just sooooo slow!! my partner also had the same problems...... exchanged it 3 times and it still went wrong, hence WORSE PHONE EVER!!!!! all in all we had 6 n97 minis in a month....... what does that tell you!!
to be fair to vodafone they have given us both the blackberry bold 9700 - which is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! get 1, dont get this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you will be sorry if you do!!!!!

Worse battery life ever

I have had this very stylish nokia for a month now and wish i'd had swapped it within the 14 days allowed.
The battery needs charging everyday and thats standard use, if you go onto the internet you might as well leave it plugged in.
As i travel around this phone is pretty much useless after midday. Oh well lesson learnt, dont get caught out like me.

I've had the N97 mini a couple of months, it's a great looking phone but as for performance it crashes a lot, this was normally resolved by switching thephone on and off but now it turns on and all i get is a nokia logo and nothing else! it has the potential to be a good phone but the software fails to deliver. i chose this over the iphone and have regretted it ever since. Rubbish apps too!

Give it a WEEK then you'll fall in love

At first I thought the phone was clumsy but in a week I fell in love with this phone. It is actually a palmtop computer (almost). I can now take my laptop anywhere in the country and get FREE mobile broadband connection through my N97 mini. It connects to WIFI at home. I can watch movies on it over Youtube. When you connect it to a computer by USB it starts charging the battery so you don't have to carry the charger with you. Don't jump into conclusions. Give it a week or so and you will fall in love with this phone.

there are a lot of bad things being said about this phone so il start with those. yes the battery is not great the most you can hope for is 3 days standby and it does ocasionally crash but this can be avoided by simply changing settings: dont let it download all your emails for example, this will definatly crash it. appart from that it is a great phone, its reasonably small but has literally every feature you could imageine. really this phone is not half as bad as everyone says and im willing to accept that it will sometimes crash in light of its amazing design

Very unhappy with the phone, battery died constantly and phone kept freezing and crashing!!!!!
Would seriously avoid phone at all costs!

I have had the n97 for 6months now, and received no end of problems. from the phone crashing on a daily basis, the internet application closes it self, the locking button braking and also the phone thinking its constantly on charge.... besides the phone which is quite clunky, slow and the response on the touch screen is terrible. a final note don't start downloading things from Ovi store, by the third one it will tell you that you don't have enough memory and you wont be able to use any more applications because of it.

Seriously i haven't even had the phone long and the amount of problems i've had with it.
i'm 16 and i text a lot! but for some reason the phone decides to pend and wont send messages till at least two hours later.
Also, myself and my dad have a conjoined contract, and my phone wouldnt allow me to text or ring anyone, and i thought that maybe i had been cut off however my dads phone (which is not the N97 mini) was still working perfectly fine. this has been one of th worst decisions of my life picking this phone!

Despite the fair amount off critical reviews! I have just purchased the N97 mini. My initial opinion is that it is the best of the N series so far! The only downsde to it is the exposed camera housing and lack of a lens cover! otherwise it is an excellent all round performer!

This could be one of the best phones ever. But there are so many faults with it. Too many to list here. I just wish they would bring out a software update for it and I could use it without wondering, if I will have to spend half the day trying to make it work again.

Ok so its not an Iphone or Blackberry but this is a great cracking little phone. I have been able to do all the stuff you should be able to do with a mobile with no issue and battery life has been excellent and I am a heavy user daily.
Love the wifi and 3.5g
Don't be put off by all the bad talk about this handset.

I was torn between a Blackberry and an iphone because neither could do all that I wanted. Whilst on paper the N97 Mini looked to be the best phone for me (as it did what these can't) I was nearly put off by so many negative reviews. However, I am pleased that I went with my instinct and got it- it is a superb phone- lighter and smaller than the N900, able to do video messages, good internet access and doubles up as a PDA. Take a look for yourself

The worse phone i have ever had!! and I have upgraded evry year or so and had the top phones. This is the worse. Since Dec I have had 2 N97 MINI's and Ive had the same problems. I can't get on internet it crashes ALL the time. facebook won't load on the front. Some times people's names don't come up on the phone or on text. I wished I had listened to both my kids and had an i phone. STAY CLEAR

Best phone I nave had by far. The Sat nav is very good, Iuse it very often, Camera takes cracking photos. Very quick to connect to internet. I have had no problems with it and the battery lasts as long or longer than other phones I have owned. Avery good phone

I had the original n97. The internet didn't work properly on that so they sent me an n97. That was ok for a while but the battery went really quickly and then it wouldn't charge the battery up and it wouldn't turn on. Just stayed on the screen displaying the word Nokia. Sent that back and got another one. A few weeks later same thing happened. So am getting a new handset now. I am really dissaponted as I thought this phone had potential. Nokia should have this problem sorted out but they haven't bothered with this model. Really dissappointing. Not vodafones fault it is Nokias fault
