Great Phone!
Date: March 13, 2010
This is a really great phone. It's so fast, it's touch screen is really responsive and web browsing is much better than on the iphone in my opinion. the screen looks great, and has an amazing display. there is only one thing to beware of; because of the massive screen, this phone is huge and doesn't fit in some of my pockets. apart from this though, the best phone I've ever had.

Outstanding phone
Date: January 5, 2010
This is quite simply the best phone I have ever used. It is fast, integrates seamlessly with all my social networking sites and covers all my business needs from emailing to document handling.
I cannot understand why Vodafone would choose to stop selling it, as this phone has the potential to sell and sell once it gets more mindshare.

HTC HD2 the iphone killer
Date: December 31, 2009
Having had an Iphone this phone just blasts it away. The graphics are smoother and the 4.3" screen there is nothing to compare. If you get a chance to get this phone get it without hesitation

Knocks spots off the iPhone in every area, big is beautiful as far as the screen goes. Apple are running scared! Why pay a premium for a lets face it older poorer handset.

The best phone I have ever used. It certainly wins over the iphone with performance and design but is the HTC Hero better?

Near perfect
Date: December 10, 2009
Very nearly perfect - and now I've installed the SPB Mobile Shell v3.5 ($30 online) to imporve on the already good HTC Sense shell, I'd say it was in fact completely perfect - the best handheld device on the market, bar none.

Good but you need to tweek it
Date: December 9, 2009
The HD2 is fantastic after you take the time to set it up ,the screen is fantastic but you will need to get used to the very sensitive screen [which brings me to say ]
Visit XDA developers they have all the hints and tips to make this great phone an amazing one!
once you decrease the screen sensitivity this is THE IPHONE KILLING machine we have all wanted for soo long, its flexable and reliable.
good for work ,play and no need to buy a Tomtom as it has a great sat nav program for only £26.99

AMAZING phone
Date: December 9, 2009
This is the best phone I have ever had yet.
The screen will win anyone over and it is very POCKETABLE. It is fast and has loads of features that anyone will find useful. No phone is perfect but this is the closest one yet.
Re the Windows bad reviews, I have had this phone for 3 weeks and I cannot put it down, it is sooo entertaining.

This is without doubt the best windows mobile phone ever made, only minor bug is the keyboard that in cold conditions wil randomly select keys weird enough.
The HTC Sense UI is also GREAT!

I can't put it down
Date: November 26, 2009
After two weeks, I can't put it down. Some of my friends at work are thinking of getting the HD2 as it makes their Nokias and Sonys look like toys. This is a realy good phone and as more aps become available it will get better. The screen is fantastic.
Buy this phone , you'll love it.

A Really Great Business Tool
Date: November 24, 2009
A friend got one of the first HTC HD2's to be delivered and kindly lent it to me for a few hours. This is the ideal business tool for me as a Equity and Commodity trader. I quickly connected with all my normal web based sites and found the screen plenty big enough to track streaming level 2 quotes and other financial data. It also connected with my E-Mail and seems to synchronize easily with my other computer based programmes from Microsoft.
It is true there are not the huge choices of Apps as per the iphone but there are a lot of very useful Apps out there which are easy enough to find. The prospect of the Windows 7 upgrade will only make this handset better and will probably arrive at the same time as the 4th generation iphone.
If you are a business user, then the HTC HD2 is the clear number 1 choice and for those who want to simply use the phone as a fun tool, the ability to use Flash is really useful and to be honest,
I actually preferred this phone to the iphone, including the really excellent camera (I think that the negative comments about this are not representative as I had consistently good pictures from both inside and out.)
I should mention two other excellent advantages. The first is that it takes sd micro cards (the one I tried had a 16gb which had a lot of music stored on it) and the other advantage is that you can carry a spare battery (try this on an iphone) which again is a useful plus for a business user.
So, I have ordered my phone from Vodafone who seem to have a really great deal on at the moment, giving you free handset, masses of minutes talktime, unlimited texts and web connection for £35.00pm

Truly Excellent!
Date: November 23, 2009
I returned my horrid Satio and took receipt of my HD2, what a hugely satisfying return that was.
This phone is excellent, I've used the iPhone extensively & it's a great piece of kit, but this is far superior.
Not just in terms of its screen being the biggest of any mobile.
Not just because the capacitive touch is excellently responsive.
Not just because it has a much, much better processor than the iphone.
Not just because I can install what I like, and therefore don't have my intelligence insulted by apple.
But, most surprisingly, because WinMo 6.5 is actually really good as an OS! With the HTC Sense UI over the top it's fantastic.
In short;
Screen = excellent, best on the market in size and function.
Processor = excellent, best on the market.
Memory = excellent (not sure about best on the market here)
OS = excellent, easily on a par with Android or iphone OS.
Applications = excellent. search Google for the xda developers forum. Everything you need is there.

Smug iphones no more
Date: November 23, 2009
Do you have smug friends who worship and adore their iphones?
Do you hate them for buying one, because that means you wont buy one?
Do you want a way of wiping the smiles off their faces?
Buy this phone. It is in every way better than an iphone. True, there's no 'pint of beer' app, but small sacrifice for what is a truly excellent phone.
It has a bigger screen, scrolls smoother, more storage potential and is better built than an iphone. Oh, and of course (just to make it the antichrist) it's Microsoft...:-)
Windows CE has been around for over a decade, so there are just as many apps available for this phone, and the majority of them are far more useful than the average waste of bytes your iphone weilding buddys have. Microsoft, with the help of HTC have done it again.

THE ULTIMATE PHONE????
Date: November 23, 2009
I am one of the lucky ones with an HTD2......
I do love this phone and it is sooooo close to being the Ultimate mobile phone!
It is a beautiful phone with a screen to die for. It handles all your needs including wireless so you dont use any internet minutes. Linking with Facebook is great as it imports contacts info from there. The camera is FINE... i have had no problems... and viewing the pics is amazing, friends are jelaous when i show them. Plus it has a really good flash. I am amazed and glad i have this phone i would not swap it for the Iphone as i believe there is more functionality than just APPS on this phone... and anyway most Apps get boring after a while!
My negatives are.......
On initial set up it was a pain going deeper into the phone and out of the HTC interface... however once you have set the phone up to your needs you RARELY need to even see the Windows Mobile interface... well done HTC.
I have the same concerns with turning off the data connection... when u go abroad you might incurr roaming fees..... i need to research this more and how to turn it off.
It doesn't play Xvid format!!!! but i think there is a player you can install for that
and finally..... a small gripe.... the alarm wont wake up the phone if it is turned off!
I nearly gave this phone 4* rating but i think that is a bit harsh..... HTC have done an amazing job of covering Windows Mobile and you hardly ever even see it... so it looks more Android than windows until u dig deeper.
Can any phone be PERFECT? But this one is sooooo near.... just be patient with the set up.... thn enjoy!
