Wow, huge price increase
Date: March 12, 2010
I picked up one of these when the tariff was £15 with no expiry, no it is £15 for 3GB to use in 30 days! Huge step backwards.
Rating it 2/5 on Ease of Use as there is no Value for Money category.

Good deal
Date: February 22, 2010
for the ones who love the old deal (1GB with no time limit) I think you can change it back if you want to, so its totally up to you.
And I think this is amazing deal 25 pounds for everything with 1 month usage....... such a shame.................... I bought this a month ago with 35 pounds.
I'm happy with the speed, the software, basically almost everything just check your coverage before buying it.
But the bad thing it's annoying to remove the adult control, can't even go on some basic websites!

Shame
Date: February 18, 2010
I have the old product, I used to recommend it to customers to buy, but having just seen that it has all changed, even spoke to customer services who said that the credit expires EVERY 30 days, so basically you are back to pay monthly if you want it available all the time. Anyone recommend a different one?

I find this better than the old version - firstly because you get more value for money, with 3GB rather than 1GB for £15. Also, because you have more freedom of how much you want to topup, if I didn't think I was going to benefit from the 3GB pack because of the 30 day expiry date, i could just put on £5 or £10. Plus I really like how theres more colours out :)

Confusion
Date: February 2, 2010
I was confused when I read the other T&C's as I purchased one of these in Dec 08. I got very worried when I read that it had gone to monthly and I had not been informed. I contacted Customer Care. and they explain that the 1GB is still top up and go,it is the Blue and Pink ones that have changed. I hope this helps

Was a good buy until T&C's changed
Date: January 23, 2010
This was the best deal for mobile broadband until it required a monthly top up with 30 day expiration.
No longer recommended. Poor show Vodafone. Lost me on a contract, will lose me soon on mobile broadband.
Why were customers not informed before changes?

T&C change to 30 day limit
Date: January 23, 2010
Was a fantastic product. Now it's rubbish if you are an occasional user who needs some broadband use for the odd bit of travel, surfing in a cafe, etc.
I don't need 3G a month, or 1G even. 1G that doesn't expire, ever, was the killer feature for me buying the product under the old T&Cs. I've used it for nearly a year and have only used £2 of my £15 credit! Under the new system I'd be paying £15 a month.
On the technical side, it works fine. Just plug in, install the software and off you go. Even receives SMS messages. The 30 day limit makes the PAYG nature of it worthless though. If you're a heavy user you'd get a contract, if not you wouldn't want this.

Poor - changed T&C to now expire after 30 days
Date: January 23, 2010
The top up exires 30 days after 1st use. This was not the case last year. The T&C have changed and now this no better than any of the competition. I took it back and got a 3 dongle as it has £10 top ups (still expires after 30 days like all the rest) - Vodafone have lowered their standards to the same as the competition, how silly.

Now have to top up every 30 days!
Date: January 14, 2010
T&C have been changed, and i don't recall having been advised as a customer. You now have to top up every 30days, no longer the good buy it was and will no longer recommend to my users.

Utter disapppointment on Mac and expensive
Date: January 12, 2010
I was told that this product was compatible with Mac. It is if are willing to live with reduced functionalities (no text msg, no possibility to view consumption live, etc). The setup is not straightfwd either. I initially tried using the included software but it didn't work. I eventually found on a website the solution, which requires to use the dialer included in MaxOS.
And now you have to top up EVERY MONTH (GBP 15P) to keep using it, no matter your usage. To me, that's not Pay as you go, it's simply a no go !

T&C's have changed - Now expires after 30 days!
Date: January 7, 2010
It appears that the T&C's have changed and the Vodafone PAYG credit now expires after 30 days. Very poor Vodafone especially as this was the main reason for buying.
Would now not reccommend to anyone to purchase from Vodafone.

Has conditions been changed?
Date: January 6, 2010
I have received this for Christmas with the understanding that any top up would not expire. Is this not the case now? If so very disappointed as i though vodaphone has a good product more. Not really pay as you go is it, if your tied to a months usage.

Vodafone now expires unused data
Date: December 30, 2009
Very poor product offering. Now no longer offers the main Vodafone USP: the non-expiring data allowance. This "new" product expires after 30 days, whether you've used it or not. Pretty rubbish offering compared to the prior version of this product which didn't expire.

Very pleased
Date: December 6, 2009
Only mobile broadband I could find with no expiry & lose credit after 30 days. I use it for business trips to collect email and browse web & it does what it says on the box. Any video or large downloads will soon eat into data limits on PAYG. It could be good in an emergency if you lose your home broadband. I have used it on 4 trips in 6 weeks & still have £8 left from my original built in £15 credit. Not bad if you ask me-just for the convenience.
